Opening a new set of Elegant Inks edible ink cartridges is a key moment—especially when you're aiming for clean, vibrant prints without clogging or contamination. Here's a quick guide to help you do it right:
🛠️ Step-by-Step: Opening & Installing Edible Ink Cartridges
- Check Compatibility
- Make sure the cartridges match your printer model (e.g., Canon PIXMA TS705).
- Confirm they’re edible ink cartridges—not standard ones.
- Unpack Carefully
- Remove the outer packaging and keep the orange cradle/tab that protects the ink outlet.
- Avoid touching the chip or ink outlet to prevent damage or contamination.
- Remove Protective Seals
- Peel off any yellow tape or vent seals.
- If there’s a rubber plug on the refill port, leave it in place unless you're refilling.
- Prime the Cartridge (Optional but Recommended)
- Gently shake the cartridge to distribute ink evenly.
- Use a lint-free cloth to wipe the outlet if needed.
